Killing Elementalists
As a rit, melee classes have always been a joke in pvp (the sword rit build never fails). Mass blind takes out rangers and paragons. Necros and mesmers arent really that troublesome since they lack the capacity to deal with my spirits. Elementalists, on the other hand, give me alot of trouble. When facing them 1 on 1 in pvp, I aways find myself beaten because of their extremely high damage and their capability to heal themselves with their energy storage skills. When I use spirits, they (the spirits) die seconds only after I cast them. Anybody have a good build that would deal with eles?

Rt/A, killing them like an assassin. (also, note that rit is more of a supportive role, while ele is the main battle tank on the battlefield[more or less])

Tried that. The ele I was fighting outdamaged me and he healed himself while he casted with his gylph of resto (or whatever it is called). Then came ether prism (seriously, this spell gives the same amount of energy as Oos yet it does so much more). I could see a million ways to killing an ele if it werent for energy storage D:

Why not try Rt/Me and some basic anti-caster skills like Diversion?

Hmm...that might work. What should I bring in for damage?

Rit /Mes as mentioned above can be very effective. Rit spells like Nightmare Weapon do good damage and heal you..a spirit with knockdown can cause a very bad hair day for an Ele to.

If this is 1v1 battling use a Rt/A with Sight Beyond Sight and Spirit's Strength with a generic dagger build (preferably with knockdown and deepwound). Possibly use Disrupting Dagger to interrupt Glyph of Restoration.
If not a 1v1 battle let one of your other teammates/npc's take him on and support him as best you can.

Why only rit? Casting diversion without fast cast is just a dumb idea. If you're worried about eles that much bring enchant removal. Of course many will cover their attune with aura so i would suggest something like Pain of Disenchantment possibly if you can afford to take the elite, or if you want to spend 2 seconds casting while keeping your elite slot, then rend enchantments or gaze of contempt.

Well, GW is a team game and the professions are a variation of the age old rock/paper/scissors theme. Any single profession shouldn't be able to consistently beat all the others because that would signify a major imbalance. If you are worried about elementalists, make sure to have a mesmer or ranger in your team, both of which can easily trash the ele. Other than that, spreading out your spirits so that they cannot be wiped out with a single AoE can help a lot, as well as bringing stuff like Wanderlust, Dissonance or Disenchantment. Also, Warmonger's Weapon + daggers makes any caster cry for mommy.

Rt/(A/W/P/D/R) [spirit strength] with [warmongers weapon] should work well against ele/casters

PvP is built like a tank. Paragons, rits, monks, perma SF and some necros are the armor. The operators are warriors and rangers and sometimes also necro. Ele and assassin are the cannon.

^ This.
And, if he is out-damaging you, adjust that ratio by:
1. Improving your armor-rating (most eles are doing non-armor-ignoring damage).
2. Give him a cheap spirit to waste his better spells on, while you move aside and cast Dissonance or Disenchant (if spirits are your thing).
3. Select an effective secondary for anti-caster.

mhm
the whole 1 vs 1 never run because you are coward and have no honor mentality that is so common = fail
if you know you can not win a toe to toe 1 vs 1 with a specific class then you simply shouldn't fight them in the first place.
Interrupts are an ELE worst problem.
You can't out-damage an ELE but if you can prevent them (if only briefly) from turning you into a puddle with their massive damage then you have a chance.
Multiple degen, hexes, and interrupts (from any class) can tip the balance in your favor

No, more like armies. Paragons, rits, monks,(btw, perma in pvp is lol) and necros is the backline, the support fire for the infantry. The wars and devs are the infantry, the hands of the army. Rangers and assassins are more or less like snipers, disabling critical skills at critical times, also helping out during retreats.

Oh no! The horror, mesmers are all alone in the world having no place in this army of GW. Grr, can't really think of a spot for them in this army. Where the heck does midline come into the picture? Designated marksmen?

I have done high level bosses with the help of some Eye of the North skills: Pain Inverter & Ebon Vanguard Sniper Support (76 dmg & chance of 756 dmg)
Can use Mesmer skill of Arcane Echo to get 2 snipers.
My favorite spirits to use are Agony, Bloodsong & Vampirism
For healing, Mend Body & Soul and 1 other:
Generous was Tsungrai, Xinrae's Weapon or Flesh of My Flesh
I swap out some skills, in a dungeon I would have Light of Deldrimore
other places sometimes Summoning Spirit or Lightbringer's Gaze. For energy management I use Clamor of Souls. I have no use for Spawning or Communing. I just put points into Channeling & Restoration. I usually have my Heros & Henchies & we slog thru eventually.

Confucius say: when spirit build loses to elementalist, do not use spirit build against elementalist
your lucky numbers are 3, 7, 21, 49, 63
